About

1st North Worle Scout Group is one of the largest groups in the Axe District. We have two Beaver Colonies, two Cub Packs, two Scout Troops and home to an Explorer Scout Unit. Our main catchment area is North Worle and St Georges. We are part of the Axe District and Avon County Scouts.

History

Since opening in 1986, the sections have been thriving and participating in active programmes. During the Scouting terms the leadership team, teach new life skills to the young people. With a big emphasis on adventure, many of the outdoor activities provide the section members with greater self confidence.

All Scout groups have neckerchiefs, this helps identify them when attending events with other Scout Groups in their district.

Our Group necker colours are blue with a green border.

Our Group badge was designed in 2017. It depicts Worle Windmill, the green open spaces of North Worle with the River Banwell flowing on its eastern side.

Maniaxe Explorer Scout Unit necker colours are green with a red border. For more information on Explorers please email their Section Leader
